Troop formations are one of the most important tools in Kingshot to save time and reduce mistakes — especially during fast-paced events like Bear Trap or Viking Vengeance.
Let’s say you always want Chenko as your captain when joining Bear Trap rallies. Manually selecting him and the correct troops every single time can be exhausting — and risky under pressure. Instead, creating a saved formation with Chenko as captain and the right troops pre-selected will make your life so much easier.

Even if it feels confusing at first, once you get the hang of it, troop formations will significantly streamline your gameplay.
📝 How to Create a Troop Formation in Kingshot?
Tap your profile picture (top-left of your screen).
Tap the Troops button (second icon at the bottom).
Tap Formations button on the bottom of your screen.
Set up your formation:
- Choose your captain
- Assign troop types and numbers
- (You can mix and match troop tiers too)
Tap Save and select a formation slot to store it.

⚠️ Tips
Your saved formation remembers the exact troop count.
If you train new troops or lose some in battle, the formation may need updates.You can also save formations directly from the rally join screen. Very useful if you just used a great setup and want to reuse it!
